My name is Dwayne "Oz" Hill. I proudly make my home in Atlanta’s Grant Park neighborhood. I served our nation in the U.S. Army for 20 years. During my 20 year active duty military career, I served in every major U.S. military theater of operations; to include the Middle East, Europe, Republic of Korea, and the Continental United States. While in the U.S. Army, I earned a Master’s in Public Administration, from Auburn University Montgomery. I retired in November 2004, at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
I served the City of Atlanta residents for the past four years. Most recently, in the Office of the Fire Chief, where my responsibilities included: assessments, planning, performance management, and accreditation. Prior to the assignment in Atlanta Fire Rescue, I served as the the Department of Watershed Management's Director of Asset Accountability Management.
As a small business owner, I provided technical assistance in the areas of senior executive critical decision support, emergency preparedness, disaster mitigation, and physical security. I have developed detailed Facilities Condition Assessment Reports, Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP), Business Continuity Plans (BCP), and completed Physical Security Vulnerability Assessments for clients that include: the City of Atlanta, Dekalb County (GA), City of Augusta (GA), City of Boca Raton (FL), City of Chicago, State of Colorado (CDPHE/Health Department), and the Canadian Ministry of Natural Resources.
